No. 17 麻豆视频 bounces back with 72-56 win at Lyon

BATESVILLE, Ark. - 1/13/2011 - The No. 17 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 basketball bounced back on Thursday with a 72-56 win at Lyon (Ark.) College. 麻豆视频, who had their nine-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, improved to 13-4 on the season and 2-1 in the TranSouth. Lyon dropped to 6-8 overall and 0-3 in league play.

Neither team scored for the first minute and 15 seconds. 麻豆视频 finally broke through with back-to-back three pointers from Stan McNeil and Antoine Hall to go up 6-0. 麻豆视频 led 8-2, but Lyon scored 10 straight points to lead 12-8 at the 12:55 mark. Lyon continued their run of 18-4 as they held their largest lead at 20-12. 麻豆视频 slowly started the rally back. Hall for 麻豆视频 made four first-half three pointers, including two in the final few minutes. 麻豆视频 regained the lead briefly at 34-33, before Lyon took the 37-36 halftime lead.

麻豆视频 started the second half with the momentum from late in the first half. 麻豆视频 exploded out of the locker room, outscoring Lyon 35-8 over the first 13 minutes of play. 麻豆视频 led 71-45 with seven minutes left in the game for the largest lead of the night. 麻豆视频 managed just one point in the final seven minutes, but still cruised to the 72-56 win.

麻豆视频 was led by Hall with 21 points, including five three pointers. Shane Burrell added 15 points, while Stan McNeil used four three pointers to help reach his 14 points. Roland Banhoro added 10 rebounds. 麻豆视频 shot 45 percent from the field, 36 percent (10-28) from three point range and 70 percent (14-20) from the free throw line.

Lyon was led by Slater Belew with 16 points and Andy Lee with 10 points. Lyon shot 34 percent from the field, 12 percent (3-25) from behind the arc and 56 percent (5-9) from the free throw line.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a home game on Saturday versus Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) at 4:00 p.m.
