Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s women No. 1, men drop to No. 17 in latest poll

JACKSON, Tenn. - 12/7/2010 - The Â鶹ÊÓƵ (Tenn.) University basketball teams are both ranked in the latest NAIA Rankings. Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s women hold the No. 1 spot for the 38th straight ranking, dating back to the preseason poll in 2007. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ men drop from No. 10 to No. 17 in this poll.

The Lady Bulldogs are 10-0 on the season. They have a 6-0 record over ranked teams, including a 4-0 record versus teams that were in the preseason top-10. Â鶹ÊÓƵ has boasted the previous two TranSouth Players of the Week in Kayla Hudson and Sarah Chan. Â鶹ÊÓƵ has three games left this semester, at home on Thursday, December 9 versus No. 21 Shorter (Ga.), at No. 4 Campbellsville (Ky.) on Saturday, and at home Wednesday, December 15 versus No. 24 Evangel (Mo.).

Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s men have won five straight games to push their record to 8-3.
