Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women’s soccer ends season with 2-1 loss at No. 4 Martin Methodist

PULASKI, Tenn. - 11/9/2010 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University women’s soccer team fell 2-1 to NAIA No. 4 Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College in the semifinals of the TranSouth Conference Tournament. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ ends their season 9-7-2 overall, while Martin Methodist improved to 11-3-3 on the season.

Martin Methodist scored first in the 16th minute on a goal from Nicole O’Donnell, assisted by Mor Efraim. The RedHawks outshot Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ 10-2 in the first half, with the score remaining 1-0 a the break.

In the second half, the shots were 9-5 in favor of Martin Methodist. The RedHawks scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 75th minute of play. Anna Becerra scored on a Hannah Martin assist to go up 2-0. In the 84th minute, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Whitney Kramer scored to get Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ within a goal at 2-1, with the assist from Kelly Bogdanovich. But time ran out with the 2-1 final.

Sarah White recorded nine saves in goal for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Hanit Schwarz had five saves for Martin Methodist.
