Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Golf Wins Final Tournament of Fall

Jackson, Tenn. - 10/19/2001 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ finishes first in the Cumberland College Fall Invitational. The Bulldogs complete the fall season undefeated in NAIA competition. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ placed fourth earlier in the fall behind three NCAA Div. II schools in the Delta State Tournament.

Cumberland College Fall Invitational: Par: 72; Yardage: 7037.

Top 10 schools: 1. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University (601), 2. Brescia University (606), 2. Cumberland College (606), 4. Catawba College (612), 5. Cumberland University (616), 6. Lindsey Wilson College (618), 7. Walters State University (624), 8. Lee University (625), 9. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ College KY (666), 10. Pikeville College (688).

All five of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's golfers finsihed in the Top 20 of the field where the leader shot a two-day total of 147. Jeff Page shot a 147 also, but would fall in a playoff hole to Mike Redfern of Cumberland College.
