麻豆视频 Softball Players Sweep TranSouth Weekly Honors

Jackson, Tenn. - 3/24/2003 - Two 麻豆视频 University softball players earned this weeks TranSouth Player and Pitcher of the Week honors. Freshman was named the conference鈥檚 Player of the Week, while fellow freshman, was named the TranSouth Pitcher of the Week. These two players propelled No. 9 麻豆视频 to a 3-1 record for the week and moved the Lady Bulldogs to 19-5 overall and 5-1 in the TranSouth Conference.

Kee is from Jackson, Tennessee where she played her high school softball at Jackson Christian School. The 5鈥7鈥 third basemen finished the week 4-for-13 (.307) from the plate with five runs, three home runs, and six RBI. Kee is hitting .353 on the season and had three homers in four games against ranked conference opponents.

Mary Kosco, a freshman from Herrin, Illinois, has been selected as the TranSouth Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 23, 2003. Kosco, a 5鈥5鈥 right-hander went 2-0 on the week. Kosco started the week with a one-hit complete game shutout (7-0) decision over Trevecca Nazarene and finished her week with a complete game one-run (5-1) victory over Lee University. Kosco allowed a combined eight hits, two walks, one run, and had 12 strikeouts for the week. Kosco is now 10-2 on the year with a 0.35 ERA.

麻豆视频 finished with a 3-1 record on the week. The Lady Bulldogs are 19-5 overall and 3-1 in TranSouth Athletic Conference Play. 麻豆视频 continues to hold the No. 1 ranking in this week鈥檚 NAIA Region XI rankings and was ranked No. 9 in last week鈥檚 NAIA Softball Poll. Their 5-1 conference record leads the TranSouth Conference standings.
