麻豆视频鈥檚 Madeira named TranSouth volleyball player of the week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/12/2010 - Marcela Madeira of 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University has been named the TranSouth Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 10, 2010. This is the second time for Madeira to earn this award.

Madeira, a senior middle hitter from Vitoria, Brazil, helped the Lady Bulldogs to a pair of conference wins to keep 麻豆视频 unbeaten in TranSouth Conference play. She averaged 4.6 kills per set with a .313 attack percentage while also averaging 5.3 digs per set in wins over Bethel (Tenn.) University and Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University.

Against Bethel, Madeira had 22 kills and 24 digs in the four-set win while also adding four block assists. She followed with 10 kills and 13 digs in a sweep of Trevecca.

麻豆视频 is 14-4 overall and 7-0 in conference play and is receiving votes in the latest NAIA national coaches poll.
