麻豆视频 men鈥檚 soccer stops skid with 3-0 win over Cumberland

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/9/2010 - The 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 soccer team halted their two-match losing streak with a 3-0 win over Cumberland (Tenn.) University. 麻豆视频 improved to 9-2 on the season and 2-2 in the TranSouth. Cumberland dropped to 3-7 overall and 0-3 in the TranSouth.

麻豆视频 scored early and often as Dejan Kostic started the big first half with a goal in the 16th minute on a penalty kick. Eleven minutes later, 麻豆视频鈥檚 Diego Santos scored his team-high eighth goal of the season to put 麻豆视频 up 2-0. Alysson Mohl and Kostic earned assists on the play. Then just four minutes later, 麻豆视频鈥檚 Guilherme Reis found the back of the net with a goal, assisted by Kostic. 麻豆视频 outshot Cumberland 10-1 in the first half, including 4-1 in shots on goal.

In the second half, the pace slowed for 麻豆视频 as both teams managed just one shot each over the first 20 minutes. 麻豆视频 finished the match leading the shot totals 13-3 overall and 5-2 in shots on goal. Rainer Hauss recorded two saves in his 90 minutes in net. Gubby John-Williams had two saves for Cumberland.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a road non-conference match on Tuesday, October 12 at Williams Baptist (Ark.).
