JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/21/2010 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University men’s soccer team improved to 7-0 on the season with a 3-0 win over Central Baptist (Ark.) College. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ also posted their sixth shutout in their seven games on the season. Central Baptist dropped to 5-3 on the season.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led 1-0 at the half on a goal from Diego Santos, assisted by Kemal Gogic, in the seventh minute of play. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ added two late goals. Sutton Shults scored with two minutes left to play, assisted by Taylor Mayo. Dejan Kostic scored on a penalty kick in the final minute to set the score at 3-0.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ out-shot Central Baptist 14-7 including 8-3 in shots on goal. James Landham recorded three saves in goal, while Chance Murphy of Central Baptist recorded five saves.
Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be a home match versus Georgetown (Ky.) on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7:00 p.m.
