麻豆视频鈥檚 Madeira earns TranSouth volleyball player of the week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/20/2010 - of 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University has been named the TranSouth Conference volleyball player of the week for the week ending September, 19, 2010.

Madeira, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter from Vitoria, Brazil, led the Lady Bulldogs to a perfect 5-0 week that included a conference win over Bethel (Tenn.) and a four-match sweep in the TranSouth/Mid-South Classic. Maderia posted high numbers with her efforts both offensively and defensively, averaging 3.7 kills per game and 4.1 digs per game in the five victories. Her best game came in a 3-2 win over Campbellsville (Ky.) University in 麻豆视频's first match of the classic as she recorded 19 kills, 20 digs and three blocks. She also had two games with 19 digs in a conference win over Bethel (Tenn.) University and a three-set win over University of the Cumberlands (Ky.).

麻豆视频 improved to 7-3 overall with their fifth straight victory. The Lady Bulldogs are also tied for the conference lead with a 3-0 record.
