Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women’s soccer tops Webber International 2-0

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/14/2010 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University women’s soccer team posted a 2-0 victory over Webber International (Fla.) University. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improved to 3-1 on the season, while Webber dropped to 1-3 overall.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and Webber played to a scoreless tie through the first 45 minutes. In the first half, Webber outshot Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ 7-4, but neither could break through. In the second half, the momentum changed to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ as the Lady Bulldogs outshot Webber 9-4 in the final 45 minutes. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ scored the match’s first goal in the 68th minute on a shot from Whitney Kramer, assisted by Kelly Bogdanovich. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ added an insurance goal in the 89th minute. Rachel Boswell scored on an assist from Grace Boto.

Sarah White recorded eight saves in the match for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, while her counterpart Makenzie Vance recorded three saves.

Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be their first conference match as they travel to Batesville, Ark. for a 1:00 p.m. match versus Lyon College.
