Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Campbell named TSWA Women’s Coach of the Year

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 6/18/2010 - Mark Campbell, head coach of the two-time defending NAIA National Champion Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University Lady Bulldogs, is the recipient of the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Women’s Coach of the Year. This marks the second straight year and third time overall (2005, 2009, 2010) for Campbell to receive this award.

Campbell helped Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to their second straight NAIA National Title last season with a 36-2 record. He also led the Lady Bulldogs to a third straight perfect TranSouth record as Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ captured another conference title.

During his career, Campbell has led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to four of the program’s five NAIA National Titles. He has a career record of 364-44 (.892) in his 11 years at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. He is the NAIA’s active leader in winning percentage.

In addition to this award, Campbell was also named the TranSouth and NAIA Coach of the Year.
