Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ baseball adds Dyersburg State transfer

JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/14/2010 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University baseball program, fresh off their second straight NAIA National Tournament Opening Round appearance, has signed to the fall roster. Rayborn is a transfer from Dyersburg State (Tenn.) Community College and will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a junior, majoring in sports medicine.

Rayborn, a 5-foot-9 middle infielder and Nashville native, played two seasons of baseball at Dyersburg State for coach Robert White. While at Dyersburg State, Rayborn hit .382 with three home runs. He prepped at John Overton High School in Nashville where he started for four seasons. Rayborn was named All-District in both his junior and senior seasons in high school. He hit .389 with four home runs as a senior.

Rayborn is the son of Robert and Janice Rayborn of Nashville.
