麻豆视频 golf finishes 23rd in national tournament

SILVIS, Ill. - 5/20/2010 - The 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University men's golf team improved one spot each day in the , finishing 23rd in the event. This was the eighth time the 麻豆视频 men's golf team had advanced to the national tournament, with an additional three times having 麻豆视频 individuals to advance to the tournament.

麻豆视频's highest finish was eighth place in 1996.

麻豆视频 struggled on the TPC Deere Run course that is also the host to the PGA's John Deere Classic in July. 麻豆视频 shot 313 in the first round, 315 in the second round and 327 in worsening weather in the third round. Clay Mallard led 麻豆视频 with a 74 in round one and a 75 in round two on the par 71 course. Mallard was inside the cut line going into the third round, but an 89 took him out of contention.

麻豆视频 is coming off a successful season in which the team captured tournament titles in five of the eight events in the spring of 2010, including the TranSouth Conference Title.
