Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Rudolph named TranSouth and NAIA baseball player of the week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/19/2010 - of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University has been named the TranSouth Conference and NAIA Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending April 18, 2010.

Rudolph, a 6-foot-4 senior right fielder from Memphis, Tenn., helped Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to a 4-1 week including a weekend conference sweep over Mid-Continent (Ky.). Rudolph hit .813 on the week, going 13-for-16 in five games. He tallied nine runs, three doubles, one triple, two home runs and nine RBI on the week. Rudolph also recorded four walks, was five-of-six in stolen bases and posted a 1.500 slugging percentage. He recorded at least one hit in all five games and had multiple hits in four of the five games. Rudolph recorded seven RBI in game two on Friday, just one RBI shy of tying Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s record for RBI in a game.

Rudolph is now hitting .460 on the year with 63 hits, 13 doubles, five triples, seven home runs and 45 RBI. He has also stolen 18-of-22 bases on the year.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is 32-11 on the season and is in second place in the TranSouth at 9-3. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 13 in the NAIA.

Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be a road conference series at Bethel (Tenn.) on Friday and Saturday.
