麻豆视频鈥檚 Jessica Henson Named TranSouth Player of the Week

Jackson, Tenn. - 2/10/2003 - 麻豆视频 University junior guard Jessica Henson was named the TranSouth Conference Player of the Week. Last week, Henson led the No. 2 ranked Lady Bulldogs to a 3-0 record including two wins over NAIA Top 10 teams. On the week, Henson averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.6 steals per game. She has led the Lady Bulldogs in their current 19-game winning streak and to a two-game lead in the TranSouth standings. 麻豆视频 is currently 24-1 overall and 10-0 in conference play.

On Monday, 麻豆视频 defeated No. 10 North Georgia College 88-67 on the road. In that game, Henson tallied 15 points and nine rebounds. She made five three pointers, tallied six assists, and picked up two steals. In 麻豆视频鈥檚 87-63 road win at Martin Methodist, she scored 31 points on 7-of 17 shooting from behind the arc. Henson added eight rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block. On Saturday, Henson helped 麻豆视频 to a 76-66 win over No. 5 Freed-Hardeman. She scored 17 points, grabbed four boards, tallied three steals, and blocked two shots.

Henson, a native of Bradford, Tennessee, leads the Lady Bulldogs with 16.3 points per game. She is third on the team with 4.9 rebounds. Her 92 steals leads 麻豆视频 and her 79 assists rank second on the team.
