JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/8/2010 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University baseball and softball teams remained in the top 20 of the latest NAIA Rankings. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ baseball jumped two spots to No. 17, while the softball team dropped one spot to No. 20.
The baseball team is coming off a weekend in which they took two-of-three from conference foe Martin Methodist (Tenn.) Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is 25-8 overall and 3-3 in league play. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ remains one of four teams listing in the rankings, along with No. 3 Cumberland (Tenn.), No. 13 Bethel (Tenn.) and RV Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.). Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is 6-3 versus teams ranked or receiving votes in the latest poll, including 2-3 versus top 25 teams.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's softball team has won 13 of their past 16 games. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is a perfect 4-0 and in first place in the TranSouth. The Lady Bulldogs have a 4-0 record versus top 25 teams and are 8-6 versus teams ranked or receiving votes.
