In the second game of the day, Â鶹ÊÓƵ scored one run in each of the first four innings to take a 4-0 lead. That was plenty of run support for the former Bolivar High School standout. Amber Hayes hit the game’s only home run. Hayes and Sam Giesler led with two hits each, while Hayes led with two RBI.
Game one produced two more great pitching performances. Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Brooke Thomas (13-6) struck out 13 batters and allowed just three hits and two runs. However the Â鶹ÊÓƵ offense could not help her as the Lady Bulldogs managed just one run in the fourth inning. Up next for Â鶹ÊÓƵ will be a conference double-header at Cumberland (Tenn.) on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Lebanon, Tenn.
