Merriweather is Fourth 麻豆视频 Player to Reach 1,000 Career Points

Jackson, Tenn. - 1/24/2003 - 麻豆视频 University guard and Jackson native reached the 1,000-point milestone for her career. Merriweather becomes the fourth 麻豆视频 player this season to pass the mark. After her 15-point performance in 麻豆视频鈥檚 68-57 win over Trevecca, Merriweather鈥檚 career total stands at 1,005 points.

In her almost three seasons with the Lady Bulldogs, Merriweather has accumulated 1,005 points, 308 rebounds, and 340 assists. This season, she is averaging 12.5 points per game (2nd on the team) and almost five assists per game to lead the lady Bulldogs. Last season, she was named as a second team All-American performer and also a first team All-Conference player in 2002.

Merriweather joins fellow Bulldogs Jessica Henson, Taskekia Brown, and Chima Abakwue as the four players to reach the 1,000-point plateau during the 2002-03 season.
