麻豆视频 basketball puts seven on TranSouth Scholar Athlete list

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 2/27/2010 - The 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball teams had seven players named to the 2010 TranSouth Conference Scholar Athlete list. A TranSouth Scholar Athlete is a sophomore, junior or senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

The list included 麻豆视频 Lady Bulldog seniors and , junior and sophomore .

On the 麻豆视频 men鈥檚 team, senior made the list along with juniors and .

Both the 麻豆视频 men and women successfully defended their TranSouth titles from a year ago. For the women, it was their fourth straight title, while the men earned a second straight regular season title. Both open play in the TranSouth Conference Tournament in the quarterfinal round. The women play at home on March 3 at 7:00 p.m. versus the winner of the Blue Mountain (Miss.)/Mid-Continent (Ky.) game. The men are at home on Thursday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. versus the winner of the Blue Mountain (Miss.)/Lyon (Ark.) winner.

Semifinals for the women and men are on Friday and Saturday respectively, while the finals are on Monday and Tuesday, March 8 and 9. 麻豆视频 will host each of their games as the No. 1 seed.
