No. 11 麻豆视频 gets road win at No. 23 Trevecca Nazarene

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 2/25/2010 - The 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 basketball team posted a 69-58 win at No. 23 Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University on Thursday. 麻豆视频 closed out the regular season with a 23-7 overall and 14-2 in league play. Trevecca Nazarene dropped to 20-9 overall and 10-5 in the TranSouth.

麻豆视频 had already clinched the TranSouth regular season crown and will now look forward to the conference tournament as the No. 1 seed.

Since returning from the Christmas break, 麻豆视频 has a 15-3 record.

For the second time this season, 麻豆视频 played the game without the help of senior All-American Greg Truvillion who was missing action due to a team rule violation. 麻豆视频 is 2-0 this season without Truvillion including a 76-68 win at No. 7 Campbellsville (Ky.) on January 2.

For the 10th straight game, 麻豆视频 has not allowed an opponent more that 65 points in a game. During that stretch, 麻豆视频 is 9-1. In 麻豆视频鈥檚 16 conference games, 麻豆视频 did not allow any opponent more that 75 points. The Bulldogs are the No. 1 ranked team in the NAIA in field goal defense (.375).

Trevecca Nazarene opened the game with baskets from Michael France and Jeremy Dixon to lead 4-0. The Trojans pushed out to a 10-4, their largest of the game, before 麻豆视频 started to rally. The Bulldogs of 麻豆视频 pulled to within one point three times before finally being able to tie the game. With Trevecca Nazarene leading 20-17, 麻豆视频鈥檚 Roland Banhoro converted a 3-point-play to tie the game at 20-20. The Trojans led one final time 21-20, before 麻豆视频 regained the lead for good and led 24-22 at the half.

In the second half, 麻豆视频 slowly began to pull away and with 10:02 left in the game, led 49-34. The 25-12 run for 麻豆视频 over that 10 minute stretch put the Bulldogs up 15 points for their largest lead of the game. Over the final 10 minutes, Trevecca Nazarene got as close as eight points with the latest coming 66-58 with 1:24 left to play. 麻豆视频 made 3-of-4 free-throws in that final minute to seal the win 69-58 win.

麻豆视频 was led by Banhoro and Keith Tolliver with 13 points each. Martez Hawkins added 12 points and Samuel Danache scored 11 points. Antoine Joseph scored just four points including a key three pointer, but grabbed a team high nine rebounds. 麻豆视频 shot 41 percent from the field, 24 percent (4-17) from behind the arc and 63 percent (17-27) from the free-throw line. After shooting just seven percent (1-13) from three point range in the first half, 麻豆视频 made 3-of-4 from long range in the second half.

Trevecca Nazarene was led by France with a game high 18 points. Matthew Elliott added 14 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. The Trojans shot 34 percent from the field, 26 percent (5-19) from behind the arc and 56 percent (9-16) from the free-throw line.
