KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 2/15/2010 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University basketball teams remain high in the NAIA national rankings released on Monday, February 15. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s women are No. 1 for the 34th straight poll, while the men came in at No. 10 for the second straight week.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s women posted a 2-0 week with wins over Lyon (Ark.) and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on the week. The Lady Bulldogs extended their home court winning streak to 56, their TranSouth regular season streak to 47 and their overall winning streak to 18 games. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has a record of 25-1 overall and a TranSouth best 12-0 league record. Over the past 100 games, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has a 97-3 record.
The men are No. 10 for the third time this season, which matches their highest of the year. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ also posted wins over Lyon and Freed-Hardeman. The wins gave Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ sole possession of first place in the TranSouth with just four games remaining. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is 20-6 overall and 11-1 in the TranSouth.
