KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 2/9/2010 - The 麻豆视频 University men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball teams are both ranked in the NAIA top 10 this week. The men crack the top 10 for the first time since the December 7 ranking of this season. 麻豆视频鈥檚 women retain the top spot for the 33th straight NAIA ranking.
麻豆视频鈥檚 men have won four straight games and 10-of-12 since the Christmas break. The Bulldogs are tied with Freed-Hardeman at 9-1 for the top spot in the TranSouth. 麻豆视频 currently holds the tie-breaker with their win over the Lions earlier this season. 麻豆视频 and FHU will play this coming Saturday, February 13 at 麻豆视频.
麻豆视频鈥檚 Greg Truvillion was named the TranSouth men鈥檚 basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season for his work in helping 麻豆视频 maintain their top spot in the conference. Truvillion is averaging 19.4 and 9.7 points per game this season.
The Lady Bulldogs of 麻豆视频 continue several streaks, including the 34 straight No. 1 rankings dating back to the preseason poll for the 2007-08 season. Over the past three season, 麻豆视频 has a 95-3 record. This season, 麻豆视频 is currently riding a 16-game winning streak overall. 麻豆视频 has also won 55 straight home games and 45 straight TranSouth regular season games.
The 103 points scored by 麻豆视频 in their last game, a 103-69 win over Martin Methodist (Tenn.) was their highest point total of the season, and just the second time the team has hit triple digits. 麻豆视频鈥檚 Kaitlin Dudley set a new record in that game with 29 points in the first half, and finished the game with a season high 30 points.
Up next for both teams will be a trip to Batesville, Ark. on Thursday, February 11 for games with Lyon College.
