NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 2/1/2010 - of No. 1 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 31, 2010.
This marks the second time this season for Dudley to receive this honor and the fourth time for a Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Lady Bulldog.
Dudley, a 5-foot-10 senior guard from Bradford, Tenn., scored 28 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out three assists and had three steals in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's 98-71 win over the No. 13 Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University. Dudley hit 10-of-13 from the field, 6-of-8 from 3-point range and hit both free throws.
Dudley's play help Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ extend their home court winning streak to 54 games, their TranSouth regular season winning streak to 43 games, and their overall winning streak to 14 games.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is currently ranked No. 1 in the NAIA women's basketball rankings. The Lady Bulldogs are 21-1 overall and finished the first half of the TranSouth schedule in first place at 8-0.
