麻豆视频 softball picked second in the TranSouth preseason poll

PULASKI, Tenn. - 1/26/2010 - 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University softball has been selected to finish second by the TranSouth softball coaches in their preseason poll. 麻豆视频 received 53 total points and one of the eight first place votes.

Martin Methodist(Tenn.)College has been chosen as the TranSouth Preseason No. 1, gaining seven of the eight first place votes. The RedHawks are the defending TranSouth Regular Season Champions and finished the 2009 season as one of the top eight teams in the NAIA.

麻豆视频 is in the No. 2 spot in the preseason poll, followed by Bethel (Tenn.) University (2009 TranSouth Tournament Champion) at No. 3 and Freed-Hardeman(Tenn.)University rounding out the top four. Trevecca Nazarene(Tenn.) University was chosen No. 5, Lyon(Ark.)College No. 6, Cumberland (Tenn.)University was picked No. 7 and Mid-Continent(Ky.)University is in the No. 8 position. These eight teams will be competing for the 2010 TranSouth Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships.

This is the second year in which there will be no NAIA regions, region rankings or NAIA regional tournaments. The 2010 TranSouth Conference Tournament Champion will get an automatic bid to the May 2010 NAIA Softball National Tournament in Decatur, Ala.
