Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women No. 1 for 31 straight polls, men up to No. 15

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 1/25/2010 - The streak of No. 1 rankings for the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University Lady Bulldogs has been extended to 31 straight polls. In the latest NAIA rankings released on Monday, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s women’s captured all 12 first place votes for the second straight week. In the men’s rankings, the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ men jumped up from No. 18 to No. 15.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s men posted a 2-1 week as they remain atop the TranSouth standings with a 6-1 league record. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will put that ranking and top conference spot on the line in this week’s only game for the Bulldogs. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will host No. 20 Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) on Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (6-1) is just percentage points ahead of Trevecca Nazarene (5-1) in the league standings.

The Lady Bulldogs extended their winning streak to 13 games with a 3-0 week. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ also extended their home winning streak to 53 games and their TranSouth regular season game winning streak to 42 games. Like the men, the women’s top 15 match up on Thursday when Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ hosts No. 13 Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) will be for the top spot in the TranSouth standings. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (7-0) is just percentage points ahead of Trevecca Nazarene (6-0).
