麻豆视频's Chan named TranSouth player of the week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 1/11/2010 - of the No. 1 ranked 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University Bulldogs has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 10, 2010.

Chan, a 6-foot-4 junior center from Arange City, Sudan, helped 麻豆视频 to a 2-0 week. In the two wins during TranSouth play, Chan averaged 18 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. She posted 54 percent (13-24) shooting from the field and 71 percent (10-14) from the free throw line in the two games. Chan scored 10 points while posting 15 rebounds in 麻豆视频's 80-78 win over No. 22 Bethel (Tenn.) University. Her best game was a 26-point and eight rebound performance in the 86-66 win at Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College.

麻豆视频 is 15-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.

Chan is the second straight 麻豆视频 player and second player this season to earn this honor. Kaitlin Dudley received the award last week.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a home conference game on Thursday, January 14 at 6:00 p.m. versus Lyon (Ark.) College.
