No. 19 麻豆视频 men ready to start conference play, defend title

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/7/2010 - Coach David Niven, in his first season as 麻豆视频鈥檚 head coach, has continued to keep the 麻豆视频 Bulldogs as a presence in the national rankings and a contender for their second straight conference title.

After starting the season 4-3, 麻豆视频 is 5-2 in their last seven games heading into conference play. 麻豆视频 is 3-2 versus teams that are ranked. 麻豆视频 is 6-5 against teams that have been ranked or receiving votes as some point this year.

Niven recapped the early season play of the Bulldogs, 鈥淥ur consistency has not been where we want. We鈥檝e played quite well in stretches and poorly in others. That is something we must improve upon.鈥�

鈥淚 feel like it will be a very close conference race and there are a number of teams that could win it. For the first time since I can remember, we probably have about five teams that are capable of winning our league. For us to be in that group we鈥檒l certainly have to improve."
