BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - 12/12/2009 - No. 10 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University had their four-game winning streak snapped by Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University 83-68. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ dropped to 8-4 on the season. Olivet Nazarene, who topped the Bulldogs 69-66 in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's second game of the year, improved to 6-5 on the year.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ jumped out to a 5-0 as part of a 10-3 run to start the game. The Bulldogs held the lead for the majority of the first half. However, over the final eight minutes of the first half that included five ties and three lead changes, Olivet led 36-35 at the half.
In the second half, Olivet Nazarene took control of the game, shooting 53 percent from the field and 60 percent from the 3 point line to outscore Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ 47-33 in the final 20 minutes.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led in scoring by Greg Truvillion with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Keith Tolliver with 12 points.
Olivet Nazarene was led by Josh Bronke with 21 points and Cory Hainlen with 12 points.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ plays again on January 2 against Campbellsville (Ky.) who is currently receiving votes in the NAIA ratings. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will try to avenge a 57-50 loss to Campbellsville earlier in the season.
