No. 1 麻豆视频 notches 50th straight home win in a 91-54 victory over No. 6 Lee

JACKSON, Tenn. - 12/12/2009 - The No. 1 ranked 麻豆视频 University women鈥檚 basketball team rolled to a 91-54 win over No. 6 Lee (Tenn.) University on Saturday. 麻豆视频 improved to 11-1 on the season and 3-1 versus teams currently ranked in the NAIA top-10. The win also was the fiftieth straight home win for 麻豆视频.

The three wins over top-10 teams for 麻豆视频 has come by an average of 23.7 points per game. 麻豆视频 is also 6-1 against top-25 teams and 9-1 this season against team that are either ranked or receiving votes.

The Lady Bulldogs of 麻豆视频 made their first four three pointers as they jumped out to a quick 13-2 lead in the game. Lee (9-2) cut the lead down to single digits just three more times in the game. The last came with 9:08 left as Lee cut the 麻豆视频 lead down to nine points, 22-13.

麻豆视频 then posted a 15-2 over the next six minutes to push their lead to the biggest of the first half, 37-15. Lee closed the half with a short 9-3 run to cut the halftime score down to 40-24.

Continuing their run, Lee opened the second half with four straight points, cutting 麻豆视频鈥檚 lead down to just 12 points, 40-28. However, 麻豆视频 answered with a 9-0 run to quickly pushed the lead back up to 21 points.

麻豆视频 controlled the game for the remainder, pushing their lead to as many as 37 points at the final buzzer. 麻豆视频 outscored Lee 51-30 in the final 20 minutes.

Nine 麻豆视频 players scored in the game, including five players in double figures. 麻豆视频 was led by Jessica Graves with 18 points, 15 of which came in the second half, including four-of-five from behind the arc. Lavanda Ross added 17 points off the bench for 麻豆视频, while Kayla Hudson poured in 15 points on five three pointers. Sara Chan and Kaitlin Dudley each added 12 points, as Dudley missed most of the first half with foul trouble. In the game, 麻豆视频 shot 55 percent from the field, 59 percent (16-27) from behind the arc and 71 percent (15-21) from the free throw line.

Lee was led by Allison Rader and Katie Nelson with 14 points each. The Lady Flames shot just 29 percent from the field, 14 percent (3-22) from three point range and 83 percent (15-18) from the free throw line.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be another matchup with a ranked team as the Lady Bulldogs face No. 19 Wayland Baptist (Texas) in a game in Daytona Beach, Florida on December 28. The matchup with 麻豆视频 and Wayland Baptist features the top two women鈥檚 programs in the NAIA in number of wins. 麻豆视频 is tops in the NAIA with 1,035 wins, while Wayland Baptist is No. 2 with 926 program wins.
