Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Truvillion named TranSouth Player of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 11/30/2009 - The TranSouth Athletic Conference has selected Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University’s as the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 29, 2009.

Truvillion, a 6-foot-8 senior forward from Lansing, Mich., led the No. 11 Bulldogs to a 2-1 week including a 68-60 upset of No. 5 McKendree (Ill.) University and a 107-95 win over No. 23 Life (Ga.) University. The lone blemish was a 73-70 road loss to 7-0 Belhaven (Miss.) College. The NAIA All-American nearly averaged a double-double on the week with 22 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. He also added 4.3 assists per game while shooting 67 percent (22-33) from the field and 78 percent (22-28) from the foul line.

In the win over Life he scored 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out five assists, and blocked two shots. In the win over McKendree he scored 16 with nine rebounds, four assists, a block, and a steal. In game at Belhaven he scored 26 points with 10 rebounds, four assists, a block, and two steals.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is 6-3 on the year and ranked No. 11 in the NAIA Men’s Basketball Preseason Top 25.

Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s men will be a home game on Tuesday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. when the Bulldogs host Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.).
