Three Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ cross country individuals set for NAIA national tournament

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/16/2009 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University men's and women's cross country teams will have three individuals heading to Vancouver, Washington for the on Saturday, November 21.

Hannah Clardy, Alex Bett and Zach Covington all finished high enough in the qualifying meet to advance. The top five runners not on the winning team in each qualifying meet advance as individual qualifiers.

This season snaps a three-year stretch of team qualifications for the women and a two-year stretch for the men.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's women's have had three team qualifiers (2006, 2007, 2008) and have had seven individual qualifiers. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's best team finish was in a 25th place finish in 2006, while their highest individual finish was a 13th finish by Sylvia Bundotich in 2007.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's men have been to the nationals as a team twice (2007, 2008) and have had 11 individual qualifiers since the program's beginning in 2001. Their highest finish as a team came in 2007 when they finished eighth. The highest individual finish game in 2007 when Henry Rop finished fifth and Douglas Martin placed 23rd.
