麻豆视频 Lady Bulldogs Add Second Transfer to 2003 Roster

Jackson, Tenn. - 12/9/2002 - The 麻豆视频 University women鈥檚 basketball team signed their second transfer in as many weeks as Molly York decided to play the remainder of her college career for the Lady Bulldogs. York is transferring to 麻豆视频 from Tennessee Tech and will be a sophomore for the Lady Bulldogs in the fall of 2003.

York, a 6-foot-0 forward from Waynesboro, Tenn., played her high school basketball at Wayne County High School. While at Wayne County, York led her team to three state tournaments including a championship in her senior year in 2001. She averaged 20 points and seven rebounds per game during her junior and senior seasons. As a senior she blocked 45 shots and shot 59% from the field. In her four-year career at Wayne County, York scored 2,227 points, grabbed 780 rebounds, and shot 58% from the field. During her time at Wayne County, her team never lost a home game and helped post an overall record of 130-11.

麻豆视频鈥檚 head coach Mark Campbell states, 鈥淢olly is someone that we recruited in high school. She is a great shooter and has great feel for the game.鈥 Campbell goes on to say, 鈥淪he perfectly fits the type of person we want our student athletes to be.鈥

With the two transfers 麻豆视频 has signed, Campbell believes he has filled the voids that will be left by his two seniors after this season. Along with York, recently signed Christina Smith will join the Lady Bulldogs in the fall of 2003.
