麻豆视频鈥檚 Turner earns second team all-conference, eight players named scholar athlete

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/9/2009 - , a senior on the 麻豆视频 University men鈥檚 soccer team, has been selected to the 2009 TranSouth All-Conference second team. Turner and the 麻豆视频 Bulldogs finished the year with a 5-10-1 record overall and a 2-4-1 in league play, missing the playoffs by one spot.

Turner, 5-foot-5 midfielder from Huntsville, Ala., led 麻豆视频 with five goals and 11 points on the season. He also recorded one assist. He took 30 shots, 20 on-goal, and recorded one game-winning goal.

For Turner, this is the second time he has been named as a second team all-conference performer. He has totaled 32 points, 13 goals and six assists in his 麻豆视频 career. All 13 of his career goals came as a junior and senior.

Eight 麻豆视频 players also earned the title of TranSouth Scholar Athlete. Jared Carpenter, Jordan Thompson, Kevin Bradley, Jeremy Osborn, Robert Lynn, Jose Marroquin, Marcos Matos and Anthony O'Neil ().
