麻豆视频 volleyball defeats Mid-Continent 3-0

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/20/2009 - On a night that the 麻豆视频 University volleyball team honored their only senior, Katie Adams, the Lady Bulldogs knocked off Mid-Continent (Ky.) University 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-8). 麻豆视频 improved to 23-4 on the season and 7-4 in the TranSouth. Mid-Continent dropped to 2-15 overall and 0-12 in league play.

麻豆视频 and Mid-Continent started the first match by swapping points, as 麻豆视频 took a 6-5 lead. The Lady Bulldog then scored five straight times to pull away. 麻豆视频 led by as many as 12 points, 18-6 and the final, 25-13. In the second set, Mid-Continent jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead. However, 麻豆视频 rattled off a five-point run again to take a 6-4 lead. 麻豆视频 did not trail again on their way to a 25-15 win. 麻豆视频 dominated the third and final set, jumping out to a lead of 19-6, before extending the lead to the 25-8 final.

麻豆视频 was led by Heather Lieberman with 12 kills and Kelsey Duling added 11 kills. Adams recorded 31 assists on her senior night. Lauren Sprouse led with 18 digs, while Caitie Paul and Caroline Robbins added two blocks each.

Mid-Continent was led by Tiffany Payton with seven kills. Kelsey Swindler tallied 15 assists, and Katie Perry led with 10 digs and one block.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a road conference match on Monday, October 26 at 6:00 p.m. in Batesville, Ark. Versus Lyon College.
