JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/30/2009 - The Â鶹ÊÓƵ University Cross Country team is getting set to host the Second Annual Â鶹ÊÓƵ Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, October 3. The meet will include high school and college cross country teams from the area and neighboring states.

The college women’s race will start at 8:00 a.m., followed by the college men’s race at 8:40 a.m. The high school girls meet will begin at 9:20 a.m., with the high school boys race starting at 10:00 a.m.

The meet will be held on the east side of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ campus, near the by-pass. The course begins north of the soccer field, and after loops through a portion of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ campus, ends on the soccer field. The college men will run 8K, while the college women and high school teams will run the 5K distance.

For Â鶹ÊÓƵ, this will be their second race of the season. Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs had strong showings in the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic in Nashville two weeks ago.
