Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ men's soccer falls to Reinhardt 3-0

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/12/2009 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University men's soccer team lost their fifth straight match in a 3-0 loss to Reinhardt (Ga.) College. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is now 1-5 on the season, while Reinhardt improved to 2-2 overall.

In what proved to be the game-winning goal, Philip Overby of Reinhardt scored the first goal of the match in the 30th minute. That was the only goal of the first half. In the second half, an comeback hopes for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ were stopped with goals from Paul Wiesboeck and Mark Withers in the 55th and 74th minutes respectively.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was out shot by Reinhardt 15-7 in the match. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's J. Landham record one save in the first half, while Mike Phelan of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ recorded one save in goal in the second half. Bobby Boender of Reinhardt posted the shutout with two saves.

Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will their first TranSouth match of the season when Lyon (Ark.) College come to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ on Saturday, September 19 for a 6:00 p.m. match.
