麻豆视频 women鈥檚 soccer splits trip to Georgia, wins on Saturday 3-2

WALASKA, Ga. - 9/5/2009 - The 麻豆视频 University women鈥檚 soccer team moved to 3-2 on the season with a 3-2 win over Reinhardt (Ga.) College on Saturday. 麻豆视频 lost on Friday in to Brenau (Ga.) University 3-1.

In Saturday鈥檚 win, 麻豆视频鈥檚 Steffi King tied the match at 1-1 with her goal, assisted by Jill Landers, in the 31st minute. The scored remained 1-1 at the half. Just two minutes into the second half, 麻豆视频鈥檚 Eboni Murphy gave the Lady Bulldogs the lead. Candace Blackard of 麻豆视频 put 麻豆视频 up 3-1 with a goal, assisted by King, in the 57th minute. A late goal by Reinhardt in the 83rd minute set the final score at 3-2 in favor of 麻豆视频.

麻豆视频鈥檚 Katie Moser and Mary Jane Garrott split the match in goal. Moser recorded four first half saves, while Garrott had two saves in the final 45 minutes. 麻豆视频 out shot Reinhardt 20-16 in the match.

In Friday鈥檚 loss to Brenau, Catilin Zimmerman recorded the goal while King recorded the assist.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be the first of seven straight home matches on Tuesday, September 8 versus the University of Alabama-Huntsville at 2:00 p.m.
