麻豆视频 men take first loss of season 1-0 at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. - 9/1/2009 - The 麻豆视频 University Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season with a 1-0 defeat at Milligan (Tenn.) College. 麻豆视频鈥檚 record dropped to 1-1, while Milligan improved to 2-0.

A goal in the 79th minute of play for Milligan broke the scoreless tie. Sandre Wilson鈥檚 game winning goal, assisted by Nahom Tetkle, was the only shot to get past 麻豆视频 goalie Mike Phelan. Phelan played the second half, recording three saves during his time in the net. J. Landham of 麻豆视频 recorded four saves during his 45 minutes in the first half of the match. Milligan goalie Brian Newbold recorded seven saves for the shutout win.

The teams were also close in total shots taken with Milligan taking the slim edge 16 shots to 15 for 麻豆视频.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be another road game on Thursday, September 3 in Cleveland, Miss. when the Bulldogs battle NCAA DII Delta State University. 麻豆视频鈥檚 next home match is Friday, September 11 versus Campbellsville (Ky.) University.
