Kramer added to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women’s soccer roster

JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/7/2009 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University women’s soccer program has added Whitney Kramer to the 2009 roster. Kramer will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman, working toward becoming a doctor.

Kramer, a 5-foot-6 mid-fielder from Germantown, Tenn., prepped at St. George's High School where she played soccer, lacrosse and basketball. She helped lead her high school soccer team to the 2007 state title and a 2008 state runner-up finish. Kramer pushed the Lobos club team to state finals appearances in 2008 and 2009, while also helping her Jackson (Miss.) Futbol Club team to the Mississippi state title in 2005. As a senior at St. George’s, she was named MVP, captain, all-state, Best of the Preps, all-region and all-tournament. She added best defensive player, captain, all-region and all-tournament as junior, preceded by all-region as a sophomore. Kramer was a captain and leadership award winner for her high school lacrosse team.

Off the field, Kramer was Prefect of Honor, head of Honor Council and earned the Citizenship Award. She was a member of the National Honor Society, as well as, being members of the National English, History, and Spanish Honor Societies. Kramer was selected homecoming queen in 2998 and was on the homecoming court in 2007.

Kramer is the daughter of Larry and Sheryl Kramer.
