Jackson, Tenn. - 11/9/2002 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University men’s basketball head coach, Ralph Turner earned his 200th career victory on Saturday as the Bulldogs defeated Loyola University of New Orleans 79-49. This is Turner’s ninth season at the helm of Bulldog basketball and his career record improves to 200-82 (.709).
Turner joined Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in 1994 when he came over from Lipscomb University in Nashville. He served as their assistant coach for nine years. In his run at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, he has led the Bulldog to five straight national tournaments while building Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ back up to a NAIA contender. Turner has averaged over 23 wins in his past eight seasons and has had three seasons with 30 or more wins.
On the women’s side, head coach Mark Campbell moved to within three wins of his 100th career win with their 90-38 victory over Loyola on Saturday. Campbell is in his fourth season as Lady Bulldog coach as has an overall record of 97-17.
The Lady Bulldog play next on Tuesday, November 12 when they host No. 14 North Georgia College at 6:00 p.m.
