JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/11/2009 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University had three players to earn a spot on the TranSouth Conference All-Conference teams. Senior Carl Harken was named first team All-Conference. Juniors David Maristany and Corey Rudolph were named second team All-Conference. Freshman Cole McAdams was named to the TranSouth Gold Glove team. Eight Bulldogs were named TranSouth Scholar Athletes.
Harken, a 6-foot-5 senior from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, posted the best record on Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s pitching staff with a 9-4 mark. Harken recorded 55 strikeouts on the year in 101 innings of work. Harken also posted a team-leading 2.93 earned run average.
Maristany, a 6-foot junior from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., leads the Bulldogs with 60 hits on the season and 50 RBI. Maristany hit nine homeruns on the season, with a .331 batting average.
Rudolph, a 6-foot-4 junior from Memphis, Tenn., posted 57 hits on the year. Rudolph drove in 44 runs, while batting .335 on the season. He also stole 14 bases in 16 attempts.
McAdams, a 6-foot freshman from Huntingdon, Tenn., led the Bulldogs in the field with a 1.000 fielding percentage. McAdams recorded 236 putouts on the year at first base. At the plate, McAdams posted 44 hits and led the team in doubles with 12.
Eight Bulldogs also earned TranSouth Conference Scholar Athlete recognition: Dan Beck, Bobby Stierwalt, Derek Blackwood, Brad Davis, Grant Luke, Danny Alberty, Carl Harken, and Allen Williams.
