麻豆视频 volleyball adds Memphis player to 2009 roster

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/21/2009 - has signed with the 麻豆视频 University volleyball program. She comes to 麻豆视频 from Houston High School in Memphis and will enter college this fall as a freshman.

Swink, a 5-foot-10 middle blocker, was a two-sport athlete at Houston High School in volleyball and lacrosse. She helped lead her volleyball team to a district title, region runner-up, and state tournament appearance in 2008. In 2007, Swink led her team to district and region titles, advancing to the state tournament for the first time in Houston history. During her high school career, Swink was named All-Region Tournament, District MVP, twice named Best of the Preps, a three-time All-District player, and was named Houston High School's Most Outstanding Blocker.

Off the court, Swink was a member of the Faculty Honor Roll, earned the award for highest GPA on the volleyball team, and received the French Award.

Swink is the daughter of Doug and Veronica Swink.
