麻豆视频鈥檚 McMillin and Landreneau Sweep TranSouth Weekly Awards

PULASKI, Tenn. - 4/20/2009 - 麻豆视频 (Tenn.) University鈥檚 Sydney McMillin and Lindsey Landreneau swept the TranSouth Pitcher and Player of the Week awards respectively for the week ending April 19, 2009.

McMillin, a pitcher from Brighton, Tennessee recorded three wins on the mound for the Bulldogs. She had TranSouth Conference wins against Lyon (Ark.) College, Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University and a non-conference win over Lambuth (Tenn.) University. McMillin struck out 11 and only allowed two earned runs for an ERA of .81 on the week.

Landreneau, a short-stop/catcher from Leesburg, Georgia, helped the Bulldogs to a 6-0 week. She posted a hit in each game, including multi-hit games, in five of the six games played. She posted at least one RBI in four of the six games and had six extra base hits including five doubles and a homerun for a .640 average on the week. Landreneau was also 2-for-2 in stolen bases.

麻豆视频 improves to 21-18 after last week鈥檚 wins and is currently in second place in the TranSouth with a 6-2 record.
