JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/13/2009 - has signed to player her college soccer for the Lady Bulldogs of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University. McGary will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman and will major in Pre-Pharmacy.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Head Coach Brandon Boylan says, "Lindsey is a strong attacking player that has overcome injury to be where she is today. We feel Lindsey is going to add depth and scoring ability to our program and can't wait to see what she accomplishes in her college career. We are pleased that she has chosen Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to continue her education and soccer endeavors."
McGary, a 5-foot-6 forward, played high school soccer and basketball at Searcy High School. She was a key in leading her soccer team to the Arkansas 6-A State Title in 2007 and 2008. McGary also pushed her team to conference titles in 2006, 2007, and 2008. She earned All-Conference honors as a freshman, sophomore, and junior. In 2008, she started all 10 games, scoring 12 goals and dishing out four assists. McGary also played soccer for the Arkansas Rush Premier League, scoring 11 goals and recording 16 assists in 24 games played.
Off the field, McGary was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Spanish Honorary, and was named FCA Sweetheart.
McGary is the daughter of Harold and Tanya McGary of Searcy and is a member of Valley Baptist Church.
