JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/26/2009 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University women’s soccer program has added another player to the 2009 roster. of Louisville, Ky. has signed to play her college soccer for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman.
Bachman, a 5-foot-4 midfielder, was a three-sport star at the Christian Academy of Louisville where she played soccer, basketball, and tennis. In soccer, she was named an Academic All-State performer all four seasons of high school. Bachman was also named All-Region, All-Tournament in the Male Bulldog Cup, and All-Tournament in the CAL Classic in both her junior and senior seasons. Off the field, Bachman was a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. Backman's older sister, Kari, was a senior on Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's inaugural women's soccer season in 2005.
"We are pleased that Tannis has chosen to be a part of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ soccer family," says Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ coach Brandon Boylan. "Tannis has the versatility to play multiple positions and we have been excited about her development over the last year. She is a great fit for the university and soccer program and we are blessed she has decided to continue her academic and athletic career at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ."
