Jackson, Tenn. - 10/21/2002 - Josue Tuchez, a 5-foot-9 senior midfielder for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University, has been named the TranSouth Conference Player and NAIA Region XI Soccer Player of the Week. Tuchez led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to a 2-0 week by scoring three goals in the two victories over Freed-Hardeman and Bethel.
Tuchez helped Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to a come from behind 3-2 win over Freed-Hardeman by scoring two goals in just over a minute late in the game. In the 2-0 win over Bethel, Tuchez broke a scoreless tie with nine minutes left in the game in what ended up being the game winning goal. He now has six goals on the season and has added one assist for the Bulldogs.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s record improves to 9-6-1 overall and they are 3-3 in TranSouth Conference play. The Bulldogs look to make the conference tournament again but are unsure of their seeding. With just one conference game to play, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ could finish anywhere from third to sixth in regular season play.
