麻豆视频鈥檚 Joe Phiri Receives Third NCCAA Honor

Jackson, Tenn. - 10/15/2002 - 麻豆视频 University forward, Joe Phiri, has been named the NCCAA Athlete of the Week for the second straight week and third in four weeks. Phiri helped the Bulldogs to a 1-1 record on the week as they defeated Freed-Hardeman 9-1 and lost to Lee 5-1.

Phiri, a 5-foot-7 senior from Zambia, scored a 鈥渉at trick鈥 in the win over Freed-Hardeman as he tallied three goals and one assists. He also scored the lone goal in the loss to Lee. Phiri leads 麻豆视频 in goals this season with 13 and in total points with 32. He also has six assists in his 15 games played.

麻豆视频 is now 9-6-1 overall and 3-3 in TranSouth Conference play. The Bulldogs play next in a key conference match at Berry College on Monday, October 21.

As the season winds down, 麻豆视频 has only two regular season home matches left on the schedule in which both are non-conference. On Saturday, October 26, the Bulldogs will host Tennessee Temple at 4:00 p.m. then on Wednesday, October 30, 麻豆视频 and Lambuth will make-up the rain postponed game from earlier in the season. This game will be at 8:00 p.m.
