麻豆视频 Lady Bulldogs join WBCA鈥檚 Pink Zone in promoting breast cancer awareness

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/18/2009 - The 麻豆视频 University Lady Bulldog basketball team will join efforts with hundreds of women鈥檚 college basketball teams across the country this week by promoting breast cancer awareness. 麻豆视频鈥檚 night will be Thursday, February 19 when the No. 1 ranked Lady Bulldogs play host to Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College at 6:00 pm at 麻豆视频鈥檚 Fred DeLay Gymnasium.

The Women鈥檚 Basketball Coaches Association () has organized Pink Zone, which allows teams to jointly promote, raise money, and help bring awareness to cancer.

Mark Campbell, head coach of the 麻豆视频 Lady Bulldogs says, 鈥淎nytime we can use our talents to glorify God, show our love for others, and help meet needs, we should always invest our time and efforts. This is a great cause and our team is proud to be able to contribute.鈥�

Several other 麻豆视频 sports teams have participated in similar events over the past years. Also, for the third year in a row, 麻豆视频 University and the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx are teaming for Breast Cancer Pink Jersey Auction on May 9, 2009.

Over the past seasons, 麻豆视频 has raised several thousand dollars in their different cancer awareness events across all sports. Money raised during these events is applied to the 麻豆视频 University Relay for Life team鈥檚 contribution to the American Cancer Society.
