Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Kaitlin Dudley Named TranSouth Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 2/16/2009 - of No. 1 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 15, 2009.

Dudley, a 5-foot-10 junior guard from Bradford, Tenn., scored 25 points and had five rebounds in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s 86-67 win over No. 3 Lambuth University. She hit 4-of-8 shots from beyond the arc in the game and was 8-for-15 from the field. In Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s 96-45 win at Cumberland University she added a 19 point performance and hit 8-of-14 from the field. Dudley passed the 1,500 career point mark with an game-opening three pointer in the win over at Cumberland (Tenn.). She currently sits at 1,543 points for her career.

For the week she averaged 22 points, four rebounds, and 2.5 steals while hitting 16-of-29 (55%) from the field, 6-of-15 (40%) from the three-point arch, and all six free throw attempts.

The Bulldogs are 24-1 overall and lead the TranSouth with an 11-0 mark. They are currently ranked No. 1 in the latest NAIA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Poll.
