Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Greg Truvillion Named TranSouth Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 2/16/2009 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University’s has been named the TranSouth Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 15, 2009. It is the second week in a row for the Truvillion to win the award. Additionally, he was the Co-Player of the Week on January 25.

Truvillion, a 6-foot-8 junior forward from Lansing, Mich., had a pair of double-doubles on the week, running his season total to seven. He has had three consecutive games with a double-double. He started the week with a 27 point and 10 rebound effort in a 92-67 win at No. 15 Cumberland University. He was 11-of-16 from the field in the game. He added 24 points and 15 rebounds in a 90-84 win over Lambuth University. He was 7-of-14 from the field in that game and hit 10-of-11 from the foul line.

For the week he averaged 25.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and two blocks per game while hitting 18-of-30 (60%) from the field and 15-of-17 (88%) from the foul line.

The Bulldogs are now 21-4 overall and lead the TranSouth with a 10-1 conference mark. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is ranked No. 5 in the latest NAIA Division 1 Men's Basketball Poll.
